Brian Branco

Brian Branco, based in Sacramento, CA was born and raised in Massachusetts, with a family heritage from Tras-os-Montes region in Portugal. He was a home winemaker early on with his father who also helped Brian gain a passion for the Portuguese wine scene. After majoring in marketing, Brian initially started his time in the corporate world as a project manager in the cell tower industry managing the southern region for American Tower. His interest in wine prevailed, however, and he moved to Washington to complete the E&V program at the Walla Walla Institute for Enology and Viticulture and went on to work in the Pacific Northwest for three harvests.  

During his time in the PNW, Brian worked for Figgins Family Wine Estates and Saviah Cellars in Walla Walla, WA, Most recently, he worked with Southern Glazers Fine Wine Division in Portland, Oregon, hosting events for his team with a multitude of premium producers at his accounts including Opus One, Argiano, Lingua Franca and Kosta Browne. Brian currently holds WSET 3 & CSW certificates. He takes immense pride in representing a Portuguese portfolio of wineries and wants to continue telling the story of Portugal and its wine to all different types of people in the industry. 

Outside of the wine world, Brian can most likely be found enjoying the sun playing some sort of racket sport or footy, exploring what the local cuisine has to offer, and making friends wherever he goes.
